DJ Olson

DJ Olson serves as the Hi Line Regional Manager for SIM-MT, leading a team that delivers simulation-based training across rural and frontier Montana. He coordinates both manikin-based and standardized patient scenarios, partnering with hospitals, clinics, and first responders throughout the region.

With nearly two decades in EMS and his current role as a Captain with Havre Fire, DJ brings deep real-world experience to his work. He has been in EMS since 2007 and joined SIM-MT in 2017. His credentials include National Registry Paramedic (NRP), Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE), and lead instructor for the state of Montana. As an active first responder, he understands the realities of rural healthcare, bringing authenticity and trust to every training.

Outside of work, DJ enjoys time with his wife of 25 years, their three daughters, and their growing family. He also enjoys golfing, working out, and diving into his personal interests.
