Stephene Hertwig

Medical Director

Stephene "Steph" Hertwig serves as Medical Director at SIM-MT, bringing experience in critical care, flight nursing, and clinical education. She also works as a nurse practitioner intensivist in the adult intensive care unit at Logan Health Medical Center, where she has practiced since 2022.

Before joining Logan Health, Steph served as Lead Critical Care APP at UVA Health Culpeper Medical Center and as a Pegasus flight nurse with UVA Health. Her teaching experience includes clinical faculty work at the University of Virginia School of Nursing, guest lectures, and mentoring nurses, advanced practice providers, and resident physicians.

Steph earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Virginia and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Liberty University. Based in Kalispell, she is excited to get to know the SIM-MT team and contribute to an organization whose mission and communities she values.
